Ilya Zaslavsky from UC San Diego Visits Farabi Supercomputer Center

Ilya Zaslavsky, PhD, Director of the Spatial Information Systems Laboratory at the San Diego Supercomputer Center, University of California San Diego (UC San Diego), USA, visited the Farabi Supercomputer Center at al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Dr. Zaslavsky is an expert in spatial data science, geographic information systems (GIS), spatial and temporal data integration, and research cyberinfrastructure. He has extensive experience leading and contributing to large-scale research projects focused on scientific data management and analysis.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange expertise and explore potential areas of cooperation between UC San Diego and the Farabi Supercomputer Center in high-performance computing, data science, and advanced digital research infrastructure.
